CommonMap Logo
As a placeholder we have a one-hour job thanks to Shane O'Brien, as you can see at top left.
If you wish to upgrade it to a thing of beauty, and, like most everything else here you are happy to submit it under CCBY, then please submit an entry to morb_au. He will accept or reject the work at his sole discretion.
Design Brief
- Must "look good" in the MediaWiki "$wgLogo" placeholder (135x135).
- Design elements: A hemisphere of Earth represented on the shell of a turtle.
- The Earth and the turtle should be readily recognisable (ideally by any one in any culture). (For example, the turtle shell might be exaggerated to be shaped like a complete hemisphere, or spherical fragment.)
Background: There apparently is a thing called the "common map turtle" so called because its shell looks like a river pattern. Also, once morb_au found that out, it evoked a quote, as recalled by Stephen Hawking, where in Indian mythology the world is carried on the back of a turtle.
