I'd like to suggest that another objective is to be a legally registered charity for the ATO purposes, because it will make corporate donations easier to obtain. --Drlizau

--- Do you mean such as in Is your organisation a charity? - Income tax guide for non-profit organisations? That's an area of legislation I haven't really reviewed yet. A quick look seems to dictate that the Association Objects would have to be quite narrow. --Morb au 04:19, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Actually, this portion could work in our favour: "Charities – examples: community information and referral services that make people aware of rights and responsibilities and the services and facilities available to them" (Locality or neighbourhood) --Morb au 04:30, 19 December 2009 (UTC) (emphasis mine)
